Do You Feel Like Your Life Lacks Meaning And Purpose?

Have you been feeling unfulfilled in your career or your relationships?

Does it seem like you’re just drifting through life without any bigger goals?

Are you struggling to get in touch with your values and define what you want?

Maybe you’re in a job or a career that feels like it’s no longer serving you. Perhaps you’re making decent money, but your heart isn’t in the work or it goes against your value system. On the other hand, maybe you’re in a relationship that isn’t fulfilling anymore. Although part of you wants to leave, another part may feel hesitant because you’re afraid to leave what’s comfortable and embrace the unfamiliar. As a result, you may be thinking that it’s time to talk to a life coach.

Perhaps You Have An Idea Of The Life You Want—But You Don’t Know How To Get There

Deep down, you probably want nothing more than to know your life’s purpose and feel connected to it. You want the confidence and peace to be able to make changes to your heart’s desire, which could include moving, purchasing a home, having a child, changing careers, or leaving or starting a relationship. Yet right now, you may feel stuck, lost, and unsure of what steps to take. Perhaps you’re open to principles of spiritual manifestation, but you’re leery of spiritual practices that seem hippy-dippy or overly religious.

If this is how you feel, I encourage you to pursue life coaching with me. By combining ancient wisdom teachings with scientifically-validated therapeutic approaches, I am able to help clients get to know every part of themselves, align with their values, and achieve deep and lasting change. I’m confident that I can help you accomplish the same thing.

Many People Struggle With Fear Of The Unknown

As human beings, we all get stuck in jobs, relationships, and other situations that end up hurting our potential more than helping it. Yet letting go isn’t as easy as it seems. We are instinctively drawn to what’s familiar, since our brains are hardwired to seek comfort and safety over change and transformation.

If you find yourself in an unsatisfying life situation and you’re not sure how to move forward, you’re not alone. Roughly 60 percent of the US population report feeling emotionally disengaged at their job.* And many people feel unfulfilled in their relationships and find themselves questioning whether it’s healthy for them to stay with their current partner.

Sometimes, all people need to make a courageous step from one chapter of life to the next is the support of a compassionate professional. On our own, we all tend to default to unhealthy patterns and resort to the same old means of coping that we’ve always used. We tend to forget that another way of life is possible.

Life Coaching Can Empower You To Achieve Your Goals And Align With Your Purpose

I live the teachings and practices that I use in life coaching. Many years ago, I made a major life transition from my previous career in biotechnology to my current path as a therapist and certified life coach. I did this in large part thanks to my very first life coach and my discovery of ancient Vedic teachings. I soon realized that ancient spiritual practices from yogic philosophy, such as breathwork and meditation, could be effectively intertwined with modern, scientifically-minded therapeutic methods.

Today, the spiritual teachings I incorporate into coaching are nothing airy-fairy or new-age—they’re very real, grounded practices that can help you connect with your sense of purpose. They are based on the idea that we all make up stories based on past experiences, and these stories are often false. My goal is to help clients change the stories they tell themselves through experiential strategies that enable them to live in alignment with their goals. And since I am a therapist as well as a life coach, I bring a wide variety of therapeutic skills and practices into my coaching work.

What To Expect In Life Coaching Sessions

In the beginning, I generally like to focus on what your overall goal for coaching is. This could be as broad as “finding my purpose for being here” or as specific as “having a more fulfilling career.” Together, we’ll explore what it would be like to achieve that goal and look at what’s in the way of achieving it. This can help us uncover any unconsciously-held limiting beliefs, such as “I’m not good enough” or “I’ll never succeed in life.” We’ll practice mindfulness exercises like meditation and breathwork to help you challenge these limiting beliefs and embody a deeper sense of awareness.

One approach that informs my coaching work is called The Four Desires, a method developed by my primary teacher, Rod Stryker, and rooted in ancient Vedic teachings from yoga philosophy. The Four Desires are purpose (Dharma), happiness (Artha), prosperity (Kama), and freedom (Moksha). I incorporate this teaching to help clients discover their larger purpose (which I call their “Big D Dharma”) as well as their work in the world that’s congruent with their purpose (“little d dharma”).

I also utilize approaches from my therapy background, including EMDR Therapy, Hakomi Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. All of these treatment methods can greatly aid in the search for your life’s purpose and the process of uncovering your values. They allow me to go deeper than most life coaches can go, relying on sources of ancient wisdom and cutting-edge counseling techniques to initiate lifelong change and growth. So no matter how stuck you are today, I am confident that my eclectic and holistic approach to coaching can help you navigate life’s transitions and experience transformation on the other side.

You May Have Some Questions About Life Coaching…

I’m skeptical of most spiritual approaches. How is your approach different?

I certainly understand your skepticism about approaches that seem airy fairy or new age, as I am skeptical of them, too. This approach is different. It’s not about manifesting a five-million-dollar home or wishing a happier life into existence—it’s about finding and living your life’s purpose. The methods I use are clinically-proven treatments for clearing what stands in the way of finding your purpose (EMDR Therapy, IFS Therapy, and Hakomi) and rewiring energetic patterns in the mind and body (ancient Vedic teachings). The way I approach coaching is compatible with anyone, even those who don’t consider themselves spiritual.

How can I pay for life coaching?

I offer different payment plans and will try to accommodate you as best I can. I encourage you to think of payment as an exchange of energy, and I often use the analogy of trading high-quality beans for high-quality corn. Your investment in high-quality beans will ensure that you receive high-quality corn. In the same way, pouring your time and energy into coaching can result in long-term personal growth and the unlocking of a more empowered life.

Can you guarantee success?

My approach to coaching is dependent on your participation. I am not here to change you or do the work for you—I am merely a guide and facilitator of your experience. That said, I have faith in the success of my approach because I have lived it personally and have seen it help my clients. As long as you’re committed to doing the work, I believe that coaching can empower you to change the trajectory of your life.
